DI PETSA Autumn/Winter 2025 / AW25 at London Fashion Week entitled Reflections of Desire
DI PETSA unveils Reflections of Desire for AW25 Collection at London Fashion Week, a sensual exploration of divine sexuality and the subversion of female desire archetypes. This season, designer Dimitra Petsa reimagines menswear from the female gaze, crafting characters that embody poets, muses, fantasies, and goddesses, each a manifestation of the creative force of Eros. The catwalk transforms into a living poem, accompanied by an ethereal soundscape from BODUR, interwoven with Dimitra’s own poetry. The show pulses with the rhythm of longing and a tension between carnality and divinity, darkness and light.
At the heart of the collection is the body as text, desire made material. Lace underwear becomes jewellery, draped and wrapped around the body, transcending function into adornment. White lace thongs encircle the neck, mixing with strands of pearls, a poetic interplay of love and indulgence. This season’s prints feature the imprints of the designer’s own lips, marking garments with the intimate trace of a kiss.
Details of DI PETSA AW25 / Autumn/Winter 2025, The silhouettes continue the DI PETSA signature tension between structure and fluidity: Tailoring featuring velvet-covered lace and sharp cuts softened by cascading drapery., Vegan leather coats sculpt the body reminiscent of Ancient Greek sculptures., Subversive bridalwear redefines purity, revealing a bride lost in self-pleasure, her body an altar to her own desire., A silk-draped angel of a man walks the runway, vision of masculinity both tender and divine., The knight in shining armour is reborn, split into both male and female forms, united by the shared grip of a single pearl and diamanté encrusted sword, crafted by long-time collaborator – set and prop designer Ellie Koslowsky.
Throughout the show, models carry books that models have written in Knitwear dresses and tops fastened at the heart with mother-of-pearl buttons, an intimate act of closure and exposure. The focus in this collection is on the chest and the crotch, the two divine centres of pleasure, emotion, and power. As models move, soft bells ring, bracelets chiming like echoes of distant lovers’ calls. Vampire fangs glint between parted lips, hinting at the hunger within desire, the darkness that sharpens the light. Salt crystalised lashes offer an icy juxtaposition to the single tear drop falling across the angelic face – beauty looks created by Crystabel Riley.
Each look is a visual poem, a fragment of a larger narrative that is at once erotic, sacred, and subversive. In Reflections of Desire, DI PETSA does not simply dress the body; it explores the longing, hunger, and ecstasy that define it.
The show music this season, is an offering from BODUR’s upcoming debut album ‘MAQAM’ released on 21st March.
