For Fall/Winter 2025, Sportmax begins an introspection of past legacies, current realities and future intentions. Since the first collection presented in 1969, Sportmax has remained attentive to the evolution of its environment. The brand emerged at a pivotal moment in our collective history, a period that gave birth to a new way of living, loving and dressing that rejected the old established guard for a new era of modernity that advocated freedom for all. Immersed in the effervescence of this period, Sportmax became the catalyst for the ready-to-wear revolution by reinventing the women’s wardrobe with a new vision, highly evolved for everyday life.

Reflecting its legacy of experimentation, Sportmax FW25 is all about hyper-reinvention, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. The brand turns to the dynamic women in its ecosystem: the artisans, designers, colleagues, mothers and friends who infuse Sportmax’s intellectual language with a realistic intention. Details of SPORTMAX FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025, The collection’s dualities are expressed through specialized fabrics and techniques, beginning with the revival of Sportmax’s signature double wool, which imbues essential garments with a soft sensuality. Its sculptural silhouettes are draped in double layers or twisted into a denim trompe-l’oeil made with unique weaving techniques that create the illusion of lace. Echoing a reintroduction of the house’s iconic repertoire, raw denim is cut and cut into unexpected yet familiar shapes. Faux fur wraparound coats evoke another crocodile illusion made of short-haired jacquard and feather-like strands of plumage that flutter in motion. Experimental leather pieces are juxtaposed with ultra-soft fleece for added warmth or stamped with sumptuous textured python, while a fully fashioned knit suit is designed as a dynamic alternative to classic tailoring.

A showcase of the atelier’s innovative craftsmanship, shapes and silhouettes are drawn in unbroken lines that expand and contract as if drawn from a single bolt of fabric. Using the body as a base, their soft architecture intuitively unfolds around it in limitless circulations. Essential blazers and trousers are both foundational and transformative, subverting norms for comfortable interpretations of oversized, feminine tailoring. Between the lines, various fringe applications add texture and dimension to coats, dresses and scarves, whether laser-cut or created using a rare method that involves carving into the pattern itself.

The collection is punctuated by an evolved range of accessories. Like the collection, the supple leather fringe is imagined as a soft shoulder bag or a large crossbody bag, the latter evoking a fringed cape; and the must-have Soffy bag returns in laminated or snake-stamped leather. This season, supple leather heels and knee-high boots are ergonomically designed with a low translucent heel for an ideal combination of style and mobility. To complete the total look, modernist eyewear and jewelry distort the basic shapes in twisted metal into statement pieces.
