GANNI Fall/Winter 2025 / FW25 at Paris Fashion Week
Inside GANNI’s intimate FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 salon show space, a world of interiors promises comfort, protection and a sense of freedom. Time-worn textures and tapestries balance familiarity and opulence. Silhouettes cocoon like soft armour. The GANNI Woman is making herself at home, returning with a refined yet playful confidence to Paris Fashion Week, and taking comfort from the uncertain world around her in a wardrobe woven with memory and sensation, inspired by eclectic interior design.
The GANNI woman opens a door on a maximalist mix of prints and materials, which draw from the rich ornamentation and faded grandeur of domestic interiors. Ever elegant and experimental, she furnishes her layered, mismatched wardrobe with gently protective and cocooning shapes, in newly refined, craft-focused and luxurious fabrications. In a collection rich in tailoring, 3D knits, outerwear with bold shapes and GANNI’s dress-led DNA, suiting is cut in sharp asymmetry, peacoats boast dramatic balloon sleeves and fluid dresses feature pelmet-inspired details. Uninhibited and joyful, the GANNI woman celebrates intimate exterior and interior living, with flared coats, voluminous skirts and cape-detail blouses evoking the enveloping drapes of curtains. The tranquillity of gardens shelters and uplifts, with mini dresses and oversized trousers imagined in a tapestry-inspired rose jacquard, and hand-crocheted jumpers blooming with delicate petals. Imperfect in her attitude, the GANNI woman carries the snug spirit of the home onto the street: chunky clogs and floral tapestry kitten heels evoke cosy house shoes. Fluffy bonnets and hoods are crafted in powdery shades. The new furry Kat Hobo bag and Mini Hobo bag make their debut, joining the XXL Hobo bag and signature Bou bag, both crafted in upholstery-like fabrications.
GANNI’s ‘Fabrics of the Future’ initiative, which researches, tests and aims to scale next-generation materials, refines its approach for Ganni FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025. This season, the brand deepens its collaboration with Pelinova, a forward-thinking material crafted from pre-consumer recycled leather and TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres, alongside cycora®, a recycled polyester made through textile-to-textile recycling and Oleatex™ a leather alternative made with ‘Biotex’ which is derived from olive oil production waste.
Select pieces are rendered in Celium, a bio-based leather alternative, grown and produced through a process of bacterial fermentation. Sequinned adornments are crafted from seaweed and natural plasticisers, as an alternative to plastic sequins. Alongside these innovative materials, GANNI FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 also hones in on technical, armour-like materials. In addition to traditionally protective fabrics like recycled wool and cashmere, the first parka is crafted in a high performance Tri-Layer water and wind resistant recycled nylon ripstop.
“A home isn’t only a house; it’s anywhere you feel safest, happiest, and truly yourself. With this collection, I wanted to bring that essence to the GANNI Woman’s wardrobe—one that cocoons and protects, yet allows for self-expression. It’s an invitation to reconnect with spaces that make your heart feel most at ease. It’s about carrying that feeling with you, wherever you go, so home can follow you wherever you are.” — Ditte Reffstrup, Creative Director, GANNI.
FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 revels in the eclecticism and elegant free-spiritedness of the GANNI Woman, whose approach to dressing celebrates an intentional imperfection. Protected by the cocooning familiarity of the domestic world, her wardrobe signals that from living rooms to life beyond, the house of GANNI is always a home.
