Rochas Fall/Winter 2025-2026 / FW25 at Paris Fashion Week entitled “FEMME” LE BAL
A match sparks with a whispered sigh, flares to life in a brief, flickering glow before settling into a steady flame. The trembling light illuminates the vast ballroom, before surrendering to the grandeur it briefly revealed. Then, as chandeliers blaze to life, the ball begins.
Rochas FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Collection pays homage to the reverie and. ineffable allure of the grand ball. Inspired by one of the most fabled soirées of the 20th century Helene Rochas legendary ball at the Grand Cascade de Bois de Boulogne, with scenography by André Levasseur The collection distils its essence of grandeur and self-expression into a vision that aligns with women’s real desire to feel graceful and confident, infusing the everyday with a touch of sparkle.
The mise-en-scène serves as the catalyst for a collection that exalts unrestrained imagination, speaking to women who want to enjoy the everyday excitement of dressing. An inebriating wardrobe emerges: at once sumptuous and uncontrived, luxurious yet imbued with irreverent charm, deeply personal yet woven with artistic abandon. Fluid constructions intertwine with precision tailoring, while geometric purity is sublimated through draping.
The colour palette is a harmony of midnight blue, velvety espresso brown.. burnished antique gold, smoke grey, smouldering red, playful bubble-gum pink, radiant emerald, and luscious buttercream. These hues appear in daring combinations, often within the same double-face fabric an unexpected contrast that unveils itself only when the garments are in motion. Textures speak as vividly as colours: wool, glossy Mikado, printed silk, a shimmery lace – the most persistent of Rochas codes enmeshed with lurex. Playful strips. of fabric resembling feathers pay homage to the Maison’s fabled 1934 Bird Dress, Marcel Rochas take on surrealism; certain textiles possess a distinctive sonic allure, rustling with a decadent crispness, recalling the unwrapping of a chocolate bonbon. Smooth velvet amplifies the tactile indulgence.
Rochas FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection develops new shapes, at once graphic and fluid of the different fabrics, moulding neat yet supple volumes. Tailoring, remains a focal point, with precise cuts and structures that give strength to the shoulders and then follow the natural curves of femininity. Proportions stay true to form, then expand, now in the heart-shaped oversized sleeves, now in the accentuated hips. Cocoon coats, crafted in soft, fluffy wool or in a textured crocodile-printed, three-dimensional matte fabric, invite playful transformation.
At the heart of the collection lies the swan. Its ethereal presence permeates the collection in myriad forms: feathery textures – from wool to lace whose fuzziness evokes the plumage: orange accents recalling the beak, and black contrasts, tinging white ensembles or taking over the full look. The swan has been immortalised in myth and legend, and was one of the preferred subjects. of Art Deco. Indeed, the swan also found expression in the creations of Jean Dunand, whose lacquered screens elegantly captured its sinuous grace. In the collection, it manifests as a symbol of mystery, elegance, and the ever-shifting duality of strength and fragility.
With “Femme” Le Bal, Rochas extends an invitation to a world where grandeur and irreverence entwine and where the magic of the ball becomes a fixture of every day.
