Veronique Leroy FW25 / Fall/Winter 2025 looks back at the silhouettes of her early days. That was the first instinct: to play with the past.

Description and notion of the collection:

Volumes have been inflated. Or they have been reduced. The focus is on the shoulders, waists are lifted high, the line is extended from the waist—towards the earth and towards the sky. Ribbed knit dresses are stretched into tubes, jackets are shortened. The garments tilt, seen from the front, appreciated from the side. The fabrics used are also those of the early days: Harris Tweed, wool crepe, denim, technical textiles.

Then came the discovery of the weaving work of the Li women, from the tropical rainforest region of Wuzhishan, in the south of China, on the island of Hainan. Their work is a testament to a savoir-faire passed down from generation to generation, where mothers teach their craft to their daughters. The patterns they weave on their small wooden looms reflect their deep love for nature.

Here, rooted in the reality of clothing, the Li Jin motifs are reinterpreted, distorted, enlarged. A game emerges with color. Softened, they shift towards muted earth tones and greys, signatures of the house. It is a pursuit of harmony. The constant search for gesture.
