JENN LEE launches Upcycled KIDS collection

JENN LEE launches Upcycled KIDS collection, Redefining the Silhouettes of Suits for a New Generation of Women.

JENN LEE, a brand rooted in sartorial defiance and female empowerment, launches their new collection, entitled Upcycled KIDS. The brand offers up a creative reinterpretation of what it means to wear a suit, deconstructing the classic silhouette for the contemporary woman. Upcycled KIDS challenges the concept of ‘power suits,’ moving away from conventional authority figures to expansive symbols of creative power. JENN LEE deconstructs the interiors of old suits and brings forth the hand-sewn craftsmanship that is traditionally hidden. The suits in this collection are designed to broaden our conceptions surrounding traditional figures of power – the brand physically turns these symbols of authority inside out, reconstituting the suit’s interior into the new focal point. The collection additionally incorporates asymmetric tailoring and unfinished edges, identifiable of the brand, giving the pieces a further element of deconstruction and freedom.

Designer Jenn Lee and photographer Dennis Lee, her long-term brand partner and husband, have collaborated on this project. Their creative union speaks to the intimacy of this collection. Jenn Lee often centres her design inspirations on love and family, so bringing her husband into this project to photograph her vision feels like a natural move. The images in this series are inspired by Peter Lindbergh’s black-and-white photography, which showcases women’s natural power and authenticity. With messy hair and candid shots, Dennis captures the natural harmony between women and their clothing. The design philosophy of this collection is further explored in Jenn Lee’s ‘craft workshops,’ which invited outstanding women from different fields to use discarded suit fabrics as creative tools. Participants, including actors, artists, and florists, utilised the fabric ‘waste’ to interpret the central idea of “reinventing the classics.” Upcycling is a key facet of Jenn Lee’s mission. The brand invites us to re-evaluate our relationship to ourselves and the things we already have and to see the potential for growth in the structures that already exist.

Jenn Lee’s collection Upcycled KIDS launched on March 8th 2025. The decision to release the collection on International Women’s Day speaks to the brand’s key value – to continuously use fashion as a way of honouring and empowering women. Through this collection, JENN LEE blends softness and strength, attesting that no single silhouette defines female power and that women are not limited by traditional formal attire. By deconstructing and recreating suits, she attempts to break free from social frameworks. This collection is a union of culture and philosophy— extracting new value from old traditions.
