Designer Li Gong reflects on each step taken, with every symbol narrating the unique romantic emotions that are distinctly 8ON8.

The 8ON8 AW25 / Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, “The Way Home,” embodies the brand’s essence with a calm, childlike spirit. Creativity remains at the core of the products, blending surrealism with everyday life. The candy, as a recurring motif is transformed into various forms in this collection. For instance, the distinctive belt loops evolved from candy knots, the flat candy-shaped pocket strips on jackets, and the retro candy wrapper prints.

Details of 8ON8 AW25 / Autumn/Winter 2025, The collection features hand-dyed prints throughout, resembling old photos tinted by time, leaving unique imprints of time on plaid coats and trousers. The color-blocked stripes and hollowed-out sweaters break the monotony of autumn and winter, while the reversible fur-collar jackets, with their drawstring waist design on classic silhouettes, enhance body proportions and add unique details. The ultra-small patch pockets are a highlight of this season’s products. Child-sized pockets become the focal point on several tops, creating a whimsical contrast with adult-sized clothing, continuing the consistent humorous and playful style.

This season’s accessories also bring a fresh presentation. The detachable Cargo shoulder bag resembles the number “8” from the side. When the upper layer is detached, it becomes an independent toiletry bag-sized item, allowing flexible pairing of the two layers’ colors. The hand-stitched wool trouser chains not only serve as eye-catching waist accents but also perfectly complement 8ON8’s classic gourd bag, adding an extra touch of playfulness. Additionally, the designer utilized leftover fabrics to create various doll pendants, each infused with childlike charm, practicing the brand’s sustainable upcycling philosophy.

This season, 8ON8 has collaborated with the Japanese footwear brand GROUNDS to present two special shoe designs. THE WAY HOME – A soft, sock-like embrace for the feet, with colorful candy-shaped foam padding nestled in the outsole. The warmth and gentle softness, paired with the sweet sparkles with every step, beautifully capture the essence of its name: The Way Home. CANDY STAINS – The popular jewelry item is fully wrapped in a colorful candy print, from top to bottom, with candy-shaped buttons clipped onto the shoelaces. Scratch marks are added to the print, partially revealing the original color of the upper. As the pattern fades, it leaves behind the aftertaste of candy—a sweet memory lingering on. Through these collaborative designs, 8ON8 and GROUNDS beautifully capture the sentimental and whimsical spirit of “The Way Home,” blending warmth, playfulness, and a touch of nostalgia into every step.

The number 8 represents infinity “∞” and perfection. 8ON8 extracts the blunt lines of paper airplanes from faded photo albums, transforming childhood memories into dropped shoulder silhouettes and rounded pocket edges. The belt loops and pockets are the various imagery of candies from childhood memories, deconstructed into timeless narratives of innocence in the modern wardrobe, drawing the perfect symbol on the “journey home.”
