Gucci is Florence, Florence is Gucci. In a tribute to the House’s founding city, the Cruise 2026 fashion show took place at Palazzo Settimanni within the Gucci Archive, a living, breathing space that informs the past, present, and future of Gucci.
Revealed at the Gucci Archive in Florence and continuing into Piazza Santo Spirito, the new Resort collection embodies a variety of expressions that have evolved over time, presented in a playful mélange that ranges from the minimal to the maximal. Gucci In a meaningful gesture, the Gucci Cruise 2026 show entered Piazza Santo Spirito, folding into the streets of Florence and underscoring the interwoven identities of Gucci and its founding city – marking the beginning of a new journey.
The Contrast and continuity. Unveiled at the Gucci Archive in Florence, the Gucci Cruise 2026 collection reflected layered influences-past and present woven through form, texture, and gesture. The collection moves between eras and expressions, grounded in a distinctive sense of style. Intricate embroideries and embellishments reflect the cinematic language of the House in the new collection, alongside handbags with archival inspirations and a vanity style design. The Gucci Giglio handbag, an ode to Florence and to the giglio – the Italian word for lily and the stylized emblem that has long symbolized the city – now available exclusively online.
For Gucci Accessories, Co-created by the two Houses and revealed on the Gucci Cruise 2026 runway, the Monili High Jewelry collection reflects a shared philosophy of craftsmanship where sculptural silhouettes including a necklace and minaudiere are reimagined in gold, diamonds, and leather. Monili, Italian for ‘jewels,’ is inspired by archival Pomellato designs from 1984, embodying clarity of form and a contemporary vision of timeless design.
