Baum und Pferdgarten Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Baum und Pferdgarten SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Notes from the Grandstand, gallops into the season with a refined take on contrast. Inspired by the world of the Derby, the collection draws from the vivid uniforms of jockeys, the movement of the racetrack, and the elegance of guests dressed to be seen. It’s a playful study in opposites, where sporting utility meets high-society glamour. Designed by creative directors Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, the collection blends visual codes from both worlds.

“We were drawn to the sharp colour-blocking and purpose-driven silhouettes of jockeys — so bold, so functional, so instantly recognisable. And just as captivating were the guests, dressed to be seen from every angle. That tension between performance and pageantry gave us a rich foundation to explore character, contrast, and everything in between.” Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, Creative Directors

Striped nylon nods to the uniforms of jockeys, while checks and bold colour contrasts add a feeling of movement. Frilled details on sporty outerwear introduce a feminine tension, subtly referencing classic equestrian attire. Dropped waist dresses and softly draped blouses introduce a graceful fluidity, while powder pink hues and faux suede accessories add a touch of composed drama. Horse rosette details and vintage lace pay homage to tradition, as leopard prints and faux leather bring a fresh, modern edge. Notes from the Grandstand captures the beauty of intentional contrast — where dressing up is always a part of the show, whether from the saddle or the seat.

The Notes from the Grandstand collection was presented for the first time on August 6th, 2025, during Copenhagen Fashion Week at Charlottenlund Travbane. Staged between the old horse stables, the show location underlined the equestrian spirit at the heart of the collection. Still active today, the Charlottenlund racetrack is the oldest in the Nordics — a place full of history and memory, making it a fitting backdrop for this season’s story.

For Helle Hestehave and Rikke Baumgarten, horses have always been close to home and heart. Before the runway, there was the riding arena. Both designers grew up around horses, and that early bond continues to shape their creative world. Notes from the Grandstand draws on shared memories of racetracks, riding lessons, and long days in the stables.

The runway cast featured a mix of models and friends of the house, some of whom have previously walked for Baum und Pferdgarten, alongside exciting new faces. The key cast consisted of Anaa Saber, Emma Rosenzweig, Eddie Klint, Bibi Abdulkadir, and Boy Ewald. Make-up was provided by M.A.C. Cosmetics Nordics, and hair was styled by Oribe. A runway-exclusive T-shirt was also showcased during the show. This limited-edition piece will be available for immediate purchase on Baum und Pferdgarten’s webshop and at the Copenhagen Flagship Store shortly after the show.
