Gestuz Spring/Summer 2026 at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Gestuz Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 at Copenhagen Fashion Week entitled the human race. The World is moving fast. We are all moving fast. As individuals and the human race in General. But in that constant motion, what gets lost? We are pausing to question the Speed of life. The race we all seem to be part of.

Gestuz SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 show explores tension and duality, movement and pause. Not to stop, but to explore the speed with which we are moving. Draped silhouettes echo the curves of speed; flowing dresses in motion like cars rounding corners. The collection explores the contrasts of femininity and masculinity, stillness and movement, occasion wear and workwear.

Drawing discrete inspiration from vintage racing culture, elements from utility wear is embraced: worn leather, matching suits, heavy denim, a cropped bomber jacket with clear nods to classic workwear silhouettes and reminiscent of vintage mechanic jackets or aviator bombers. Matching sets with athletic lines, and a deep dive into a palette of reds, blues and oil blacks with nods to Formula One’s golden age. Draped dresses with long flowing scarfs draws your mind to scarfs flowing from a car in full speed.

“This collection addresses a longing for occasion wear. A desire to go out and truly get dressed, be present and not afraid to acknowledge the importance of a moment, a celebration.” Creative Director Sanne Sehested.

The focus on contrast is also mirrored in the colours. Black, browns and dark reds are met by a selection of pastels; yellow, pink and blue all merged creating a collection that is at once light, summery and deep.

Spring Summer 2026 is about reclaiming the ultra-feminine in a world moving too fast to appreciate it. Slowness. Sensitivity. Reverie. Power that does not shout but instead lingers. It is about reclaiming the presence and feeling the softness of draped fabric against the skin. It is about moving with intention. Not just speed. Feminine and sensual – masculine and grounded, changing between the two like shifting gears.

The show takes place in Copenhagen’s Paper Island. In the unfinished architecture of number 71, the used and quickly abandoned is reimagined through an installation of discarded tires. Simultaneously referencing motorsport and the speed with which we are expected to perform, and how beauty can be discovered if we slow down enough to look at things differently. The Human race is not just about finishing the fastest but being a human in the race.
