Altuzarra SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 Collection emerged from a “fleeting image, caught in the periphery—something that looks familiar, but upon closer inspection, is subtly, even absurdly, off,” says Joseph Altuzarra. Continuing his exploration of the modern woman’s wardrobe, Altuzarra takes the classic tropes of femininity—florals, feathers, fur, lace—and bends them into strange, heightened expressions that reflect the dissonance of our time.

Hand painted floral prints, inspired by the petal-strewn opening sequence of American Beauty, drift across liquid silk dresses. Dramatic slits carve into fluid dresses and skirts, their sharp lines countered by paper thin crinoline and hula hoop silhouettes. At times glamourous and seductive—with echoes of 1940s Hollywood—and at others, innocent and saccharine, the collection maps a full landscape of womanhood.

Through material manipulation, surface treatments, and texture, familiar feminine tropes are twisted into eye-catching trompe l’oeil motifs. A surrealist bird motif wraps around collars like a vintage mink stole. Feathery cocktail dresses and matching sets are on closer inspection cut from knit. Floral prints come to life with three-dimensional appliques, inspired by Altuzarra’s children’s collage art. Shirts and dresses that appear as diaphanous as porcelain are, on closer inspection, composed of hundreds of embroidered flowers; seemingly casual t-shirt dresses are in fact crafted from stiff, structured satin. Shiny sequins cascade down structureless, slip-like silhouettes.

Accessories play in the same unsettling register. The bestselling ‘Origami’ Bag evolves into a slim clutch in satin, leather, and a jewel-studded version punctuated by oversized studs.

Footwear highlights include a thigh-high stretch leather boot and razor-sharp slingbacks perched on ultra-high heels. Belts drip with organic hardware.
