Dunhill x Frieze Masters Talks 2025 Opening Night, An Evening of Creative Conversation and Cultural Connection

This evening, dunhill, the foremost British luxury menswear House, and Frieze Masters, celebrated the opening of the 2025 dunhill x Frieze Masters Talks series – the third edition of the acclaimed partnership championing creative dialogue across art, culture and design. Attendees included: Arturo Galansino, Émilie Hammen, Elizabeth Way, Simon Holloway, Russell Tovey, Oriole Cullen, Deyan Sudjic, Truls Blaasmo, Max Hurd, Flora Vesterberg, Sheena Wagstaff, Edward George, Matthew Harle, Carl Strehlke.

Set within Bourdon House, the historic London flagship of dunhill, distinguished guests gathered for an evening of conversation, connection and contemporary British hospitality. A champagne reception kicked off the proceedings, followed by the first talk in this year’s series, curated by Arturo Galansino, Director General of Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi. After the insightful discussion, guests moved into Alfred’s for an exquisite three course dinner of British-inspired dishes.

To launch this year’s theme, ‘Woven Histories’, fashion historians Émilie Hammen and Elizabeth Way presented ‘Fashion as Art’, exploring the history and potential of fashion in the museum – a thought-provoking discussion on how fashion moves between design, cultural legacy and art history. The talk set the tone for a week of engaging conversations featuring leading voices including Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley, Glenn Brown, Nicholas Cullinan, and Susan Stronge, to name just a few.

Now in its third year, the dunhill x Frieze Masters Talks series has evolved into a platform where past and present intersect – reflecting a shared belief that creativity thrives through conversation and exchange. With a commitment to support the series through 2026, dunhill continues to foster cultural dialogue, reinforcing its role as a patron of creativity and a catalyst for collaboration across art, design and contemporary English style.
