HORSE LAI Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 at Taipei Fashion Week entitled Scarlet Shadow
On October 19, 2025, HORSE LAI, under the creative direction of Ming-Hao Lai, unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Scarlet Shadow, at Taipei Fashion Week. Continuing its exploration of light, shadow, and cross-disciplinary aesthetics, the brand reaffirmed its core values of Classic, Freedom, and Creation, bridging fashion, theatre, art, and music.
The staging of HORSE LAI SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 show was used to illuminate and emphasise the garments’ structure and emotional depth, helping bring the collection to life. Brand ambassadors Xu Jing, Zipu VENK (composer of Hebe Tien’s Insignificant), UU, and Lexi Z performed original songs produced by 6kz, Music Director of Berje Music Entertainment, weaving a seamless connection between fashion and sound.
Inspired by The Godfather, Lai reimagined the complex humanity of the Italian mafia—the “scarlet rose” symbolising both blood and passion, power and betrayal. “Everyone has their own rose,” Lai notes. “Be it family, friendship, or love—the brighter its bloom, the more poignant its fall. With a vision to become an “Eastern Unicorn,” HORSE LAI continues to expand globally, championing a new paradigm of Asian fashion through its distinctive cultural language and creative energy.
