Pignatelli Atelier during Couture Fashion Night in Zurich. A new Women’s line designed by Jean Luc Amsler opens a new segment for the fashion house.
The official debut of Pignatelli Atelier, the fashion house Pignatelli’s new sartorial Women’s line, took place during the Couture Fashion Night at The Circle Convention Center in Zurich. This special project was born under the creative direction of Jean Luc Amsler, a Swiss designer with a sophisticated taste and international style, already known for his work in Parisian haute couture and for collaborations with some of the most important European couture houses.
The presentation represented a key moment in the new direction taken by the fashion house, resulting from the entrepreneurial vision of Francesco Gianfala, who is guiding Pignatelli towards a coherent and contemporary international expansion, capable of engaging with a new generation of clients while keeping the brand’s sartorial soul intact.
Pignatelli Atelier is an upcycling collection, consisting of unique pieces, entirely made in the Pignatelli studio using the men’s vintage department. What makes it special is the deep connection with the maisons’s historical archive: each dress was born from original sartorial bases that were preserved in the brand’s creative heritage, and reinterpreted with a modern, cultured, and visionary perspective. This is fashion that does not merely clothe, but it tells the story of a powerful and conscious femininity. Therefore, the silhouettes alternate between sculptural constructions and fluid lines, while fabrics with a masculine soul are expressive tools capable of defining a strong, sophisticated, and unconventional identity. The collection oscillates between two souls: on the one hand, high-impact couture garments, with dramatic volumes and ritualistic details; on the other, essential yet evocative pieces, in which theatrical codes subtly emerge, giving the depth of a vision to everyday life.
The new collection tells the story of a mysterious and free woman, with an almost gothic allure, inspired by the figure of the Countess of Castiglione – the “Pearl of Italy” – an icon of beauty, independence, and rebellion, endowed with a free spirit and a refined aesthetic sense. selection of men’s clothing accompanied the women’s line on the runway, sourced from the Pignatelli archive and reinterpreted in a current key by the brand’s creative director, Francesco Pignatelli, in line with the new direction. A meeting between roots and future that expresses the desire to expand Pignatelli’s identity universe, enriching it with new languages and new stylistic directions.
“The Pignatelli Atelier project represents a natural transition for us, a bridge between the tradition and the future of the brand: to reinterpret, innovate, and push boundaries while remaining faithful to our DNA,” declares Francesco Pignatelli, underlining his enthusiasm for this new creative phase of the brand. Pignatelli Atelier does not replace, yet it complements the existing lines, targeting a young, aware, demanding audience, attentive to the quality and uniqueness of true Made in Italy.
Pignatelli Atelier collection will be available in Pignatelli’s monobrand stores in Turin and Milan.
