Charlie Le Mindu Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 Couture during Paris Couture Week entitled SKINS
After a decade away from the runway, Charlie Le Mindu returns to Paris with SKINS, a collection shaped by movement and a radical rethinking of the body. He says it is no longer about body positivity, but about body visibility. Over the past ten years, his practice unfolded beyond hair: designing costumes for opera and ballet, live performances, music videos and editorial shoots (from Les ballets de Monte-Carlo to Doja Cat’s Coachella performance last year. This time away from the fashion system became a laboratory that helped him clarify his language and deepen his relationship to the body, especially his own, with a stronger focus on material and physical presence.
SKINS is not about exposure. It is about presence. At its core, Charlie Le Mindu SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection exists where power and desire quietly intersect. It speaks to those who choose how they are seen, when they are touched, and where their boundaries lie. Sexuality here is neither decorative nor performative: it is deliberate. Sensuality is not staged for validation; it is fully inhabited. Rooted in trichophilia, SKINS moves hair beyond ornament. Hair becomes structure, surface, architecture. A second skin. Human hair is treated as a primary material, elevated through couture techniques while preserving its raw, emotional charge. The body is not corrected, softened, or explained. It is amplified. Each silhouette holds tension between control and release, strength and vulnerability, intimacy and distance.
This exploration questions beauty standards and gender codes, as well as the fragile boundary between the natural and the constructed. Hair is SKIN, SKIN is the armor. The body is not corrected or softened. It is amplified. Each silhouette carries a precise tension between control and release, between strength and vulnerability. SKINS rejects the idea that empowerment must be desexualized to be taken seriously. It refuses shame and refuses permission. You can be desired and autonomous. You can be soft and confrontational. You can enjoy being seen without belonging to anyone. There is punk in the restraint, in the refusal to soften the message. Just the body telling the truth.
“I believe body positivity means refusing to edit the body into something acceptable; it’s now about body visibility. Working with Pornhub allows me to support a space where bodies are not filtered through fear, but shown as real, complex and autonomous.” “We are thrilled to support Charlie Le Mindu’s groundbreaking return to fashion, also making Pornhub’s first presence at Couture Week. Charlie’s experience as a former sex worker brings authenticity and depth to his work, making this collaboration especially meaningful. The collaboration isn’t just about exposure, rather about individuals choosing how they are seen and defining their own boundaries. Here, sensuality is expressed with confidence and autonomy, not for external approval. At Pornhub, we champion free expression, and we’re proud to help bring this visionary show to life.” – Alex Kekesi Vice President of Brand and Community, Pornhub
Material choices follow the same conviction. All looks are crafted entirely from real human hair, used both as surface and structure. Color is treated with restraint, allowing the material to speak without excess. Scent and finish complete the language of the body. Hair, always present, always intimate, carries its own identity. Charlie Le Mindu SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection is revealed in collaboration with BYREDO, a pioneer of scent and beauty as an emotional language rooted in intimacy and collective memory, imbuing the material of each piece with presence through the BYREDO Hair Perfume collection and makeup. Understanding that makeup is not about covering but about presence, with SKINS, Charlie Le Mindu does not propose an image of the body — he offers a state of being. Unedited. Autonomous. Fully present. We hope you enjoy.
