Marine Serre SS26 Campaign Chapter 2 Starring Ester Expósito with entitled THE SOURCE – Chapter II
The second chapter unfolds through a short film directed by Elora Thévenet, born from a longstanding friendship. Elora and Marine Serre grew up side by side; this film marks a reunion between the two, a moment where their creative paths meet again. At the center of this encounter stands Ester Expósito, whose presence becomes the point of convergence between them. With her magnetic intensity and instinctive presence, she embodies a femininity that is at once natural, untamed and self-possessed. Written together by Marine Serre and Elora Thévenet, the film is structured around a poetic text that unfolds as its narrative core — a manifesto of instinct, freedom and embodied femininity.
She enters as if crossing an invisible threshold. Without asking permission. Free, nonchalant, entirely at ease. She plays no role. She simply is. Effortlessly powerful, quietly wild, rooted in her own nature. In a world shaped by convention, she chooses impulse. She dives fully clothed into clear water — an instinctive gesture, vital, almost animal. The body decides before the mind. She eats when she is hungry, with pleasure, with joy. Without restraint. Because desire does not need to be controlled, and freedom begins there too. Then the music arrives. She hears it before she listens. She closes her eyes. She dances like an animal recognizing its rhythm, like a bird carried by its own current. She imitates nothing. She embodies. She is the Marine Serre woman. A woman who listens to herself. A woman who chooses herself. A woman in motion, guided by instinct, freedom and life.
In the film, Ester Expósito moves with disarming ease — at once natural, instinctive and slightly untamed. Her gestures feel unfiltered, guided by impulse rather than performance. Alongside her, Momo Ndiaye appears as a quiet counterpart, his presence bringing balance to the narrative. With natural elegance and quiet strength, he moves within the same rhythm, accompanying rather than directing — reinforcing the film’s portrait of instinctive connection. Together, they embody a world where femininity and masculinity exist not in opposition, but in fluid dialogue.
Following the film, the second chapter settles into stillness. Shot by Sarah Piantadosi at the Hôtel Grand Mazarin in Paris, the photographic sequence lingers on presence rather than action, allowing bodies and garments to find their own quiet balance.
A couture dress assembled from shimmering sequins catches the light with restrained intensity, while a black dress crafted from the House’s iconic monogram mesh flock clings to the silhouette like a second skin. The Mini Strike bag in All-Over-Moon monogram punctuates the composition with the House’s unmistakable graphic code. Alongside Ester, Momo introduces a grounded counterpoint, wearing a blue shirt constructed from upcycled tote bags, bringing a quiet strength to the scene. The atmosphere remains intimate, suspended between gesture and pause. From stillness, the story moves forward.
