Paris – Saturday, June 27th: This season, the Joaneta enters a new context through a collaboration with Hed Mayner, presented during Paris Fashion Week. Known for his thoughtful exploration of proportion, construction, familiar archetypes, and play on texture. Mayner approaches the silhouette not as a blank canvas, but as an established design with its own history and identity. Working from the foundations that have made the Joaneta Aro’s most recognizable model, Mayner reinterprets the silhouette through his own lens, creating a dialogue between traditional footwear craftsmanship and contemporary fashion design.
Hed Mayner “What first attracted me to the Aro shoes was their softness how flat they are and the feeling of walking almost barefoot. I wanted to add flocking to give the surface a slightly harder texture, flatter and more precise with something between a matte and shiny finish. They connected well with the looks and gave them a softer feeling allowing movement comfort and elegance.״
