Baum und Pferdgarten Spring/Summer 2027 / SS27 at Copenhagen Fashion Week entitled After the Rehearsal

For SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027, Baum und Pferdgarten steps offstage and into the moments that follow. Inspired by dancers leaving the studio, lingering after class, or moving through the city between rehearsals, the collection plays on the contrast between discipline and ease, performance and everyday life. The ballet universe is a starting point for the collection. Designed by creative directors Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, the collection borrows from the language of dancewear, with belt skirts, lace, bows, and lace-up details. Structure meets movement, polish meets something looser and familiar wardrobe staples are reworked with an unexpected lightness.

“We were drawn to the moments when the performance is over, but the feeling remains. There is something beautiful about dancers once they leave the stage – when elegance feels effortless. We wanted to capture that confidence and translate it into a wardrobe for everyday life. ” Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, Creative Directors

Alongside these references sit pieces drawn from what dancers wear beyond the barre. Relaxed sweatshirts and sweatpants are finished with bows and added fluid shapes, giving everyday athletic pieces an edge to otherwise casual garments. A palette of pale blue, soft yellow, ballet pink, blush, and washed neutrals sets a cool, easy tone. Against it, flashes of vivid red sequins land with confidence – sharp, self-assured, full of energy that recalls the excitement of performance. A new animal print, inspired by the markings of a deer, adds an organic, unexpected twist that feels more instinct than decoration.

Across the collection, the studio meets the everyday. Familiar fabrics meet airy textures, relaxed shapes carry decorative finishes, and athletic references are reframed with a sharper, more confident edge. After the Rehearsal captures the in-between: effort and ease, routine and spontaneity. It’s a collection about movement, individuality, and the quiet self-assurance that holds long after the music stops.

Baum und Pferdgarten SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027, The After the Rehearsal collection was presented for the first time on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, during Copenhagen Fashion Week in the iconic King’s Garden in the heart of Copenhagen. As one of the city’s oldest and most recognizable public spaces, the setting reflected the collection’s dialogue between movement and everyday life. The open-air runway, surrounded by the rhythm of the city, underscored the idea of dancers stepping beyond the studio and into the world beyond rehearsal.

Baum und Pferdgarten SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 runway cast featured a mix of models and friends of the house, some of whom have previously walked for Baum und Pferdgarten, alongside exciting new faces.
