The Swedish School of Textiles Graduate show 2026, the certainty of individual practices in times of uncertainty. EXIT 2026 brings together the 22 graduating students from the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Fashion Design in a collective runway presentation marking both the culmination of their education and the public emergence of a new generation of designers.

The class of 2026 asks what it means to emerge as a designer today. Working within a discipline shaped by economic uncertainty, technological transformation, and the constant circulation of images and content, The Swedish School of Textiles Graduate show 2026 collections reflect a generation navigating new conditions of design through material investigation, experimentation, and the development of distinctive design languages. Rather than proposing a single direction, the runway unfolds as a constellation of individual practices. Unconventional approaches to the past give rise to new propositions for the contemporary, where familiar gestures are recontextualized and rematerialized, generating new relationships between body, material, technology, and culture. Across tailoring, knitwear, textile development, speculative material systems, digital processes, and sculptural propositions, the runway presents distinct responses to the possibilities and challenges of fashion today. Grounded in the Swedish School of Textiles’ integration of artistic research, technical knowledge, and material investigation, the collections demonstrate the breadth of contemporary fashion practice through twenty-two individual perspectives.

Beyond the diversity of individual practices, the collections also reflect the shared environment in which they were developed. Formed through years of working side by side in the School’s studios and laboratories—between sewing, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and digital technologies—the collections reveal a generation shaped as much by dialogue and collective exchange as by individual authorship, where heritage is continually negotiated through contradiction, ambiguity, and reinterpretation.
