San San Gear Just Opened Flagship Store at Hannam Seoul

San San Gear opens its new flagship store in Hannam, Seoul. Second Flagship Following Hapjeong, Introducing SAN SAN GEAR’s Expanded Worldview and Aesthetic The First Korean Spatial Project by Tokyo-Based Design Studio DAIKEI MILLS

SAN SAN GEAR is opening a new chapter in Seoul with the launch of its second flagship store in Hannam-dong. Following its first location in Hapjeong, the Korean fashion brand officially opened the new space on August 21, 2026, offering a different experience from its younger and more energetic Hapjeong store. Located in one of Seoul’s more refined neighborhoods, the Hannam flagship takes on a calmer and more minimal atmosphere while continuing to express the identity of SAN SAN GEAR.

The store is built around the idea of “Duality,” exploring how two different qualities can exist together. This idea can be seen throughout the space, where street style meets utility, function meets design, and different shapes and textures come together. The building itself was originally a private residence, but parts of its original structure have been preserved and combined with elements inspired by public spaces. Platforms, stages, circular structures, and runway-like details turn the store into more than just a place to shop—it becomes an environment that visitors can explore.

The space was designed in collaboration with DAIKEI MILLS, a Tokyo-based spatial design studio known for projects with ISSEY MIYAKE, AURALEE, and LEMAIRE. The SAN SAN GEAR flagship also marks DAIKEI MILLS’ first project in Korea. Instead of completely transforming the existing building, the studio chose to preserve its original textures and structure while introducing new elements. On the basement level, visitors can watch The Other Lights in the City, a short film directed by Park Se-young and connected to SAN SAN GEAR’s Fall/Winter 2026 “CABLE” collection. The space will also be used for future cultural and creative projects.
