Presented in New York on September 14, the collection expands the LaQuan Smith wardrobe into a broader conversation around dressing for the entire day, bringing tailoring, denim and outerwear into a world still shaped by the sensuality of the brand.

The change is not about leaving that identity behind. Instead, Smith builds the collection around contrasts—danger and delicacy, hard and soft, good and evil—allowing pieces with a stronger structure to sit alongside more revealing and fluid silhouettes. Tailoring becomes particularly important, with what Smith calls “bombshell suiting” giving the collection a sharper dimension. It makes the idea of daytime dressing feel connected to the same woman who might otherwise be associated with LaQuan Smith’s evening looks.

Denim takes a similarly flexible approach. Dark denim sets feature zip constructions that allow the garments to be worn and adjusted in different ways, giving a practical element to an otherwise highly considered wardrobe. Elsewhere, the collection moves through embossed python, feathers, Bambi prints, doe spots and cheetah prints.
