Alberto Zambelli presents the room, the Spring / Summer 2027 collection born from the encounter between the intellectual research of Virginia Woolf and the Eastern philosophy of emptiness and matter. Inspired by the 1929 essay “A Room of One’s Own”, Zambelli transforms physical space into a portable and sartorial architecture. The “room” becomes a three-dimensional and lightweight volume that noble materials sculpt around the figure: a refuge of sacred intimacy, a perimeter of independence and an act of sober self-determination.

This vision dialogues with the Chinese sensibility of 空 (Kōng) – emptiness filled with meaning. As in the traditional ink painting, where the unpainted areas preserve vital energy, mannequin draping creates a distance of air and freshness between skin and fabric. The garment does not constrain but, on the contrary, inhabits silence and light. There is a secret meeting point between Virginia Woolf’s inner architecture and the philosophy of emptiness. True strength lies in the space one chooses to protect. Not a simple minimalism, but a need for subtraction where emptiness (空) becomes substance and form returns to its pure origin.

It is the extension of the Zambelli aesthetic: an olfactory sculpture that envelops the body and space, transforming everyday life into a ritual of introspection and guiding those who experience it on a dreamlike journey where time comes to a stop and form rediscovers its silence. Technical Fresco wool, in a lime white nuance, translates into sophisticated tailoring. Irregular pleating in India Ink and sulphur tones acquires a soft sculptural dimension through origami-inspired folds that follow the movement of the body. Striped parchment and India Ink cotton in Jacquard is reinterpreted through original volumetric constructions, defining circular silhouettes and cocoon shapes.

The soft and enveloping Kimono follows the body and its movement through the natural fluidity of silk, while the mother-of-pearl- effect sequin defines essential shapes. Iromuji silk, an expression of an ancient Eastern tradition, finally dialogues with Fresco wool in a deep mahogany tone, in a combination that brings matter and fluidity together.
