Stone Island Store Selfridges London collaboration with the independent collectors
September 21 – November 6 The Corner Shop, Selfridges London. Stone Island’s first formal collaboration with the independent collectors who have helped preserve, interpret and shape its culture over four decades.

Stone Island takes over The Corner Shop at Selfridges London from 21 September to 6 November 2026 with SELECTED WORKS ‘982–’026_STONE ISLAND: THE COLLECTOR SERIES – its first formal collaboration with the independent collectors who have helped preserve, interpret and shape the culture of the brand over four decades. Bringing together Stone Island’s living archive and the collector community that has grown around it, the project gives collectors a platform to present their own research, archives and perspectives on the brand.
Through the contributions of Arco Maher, Better Gift Shop, ‘bout, 194 Local, Holsales, Metallic Curtain, Pezze, and SimJae, the project reveals the different histories, geographies and individual approaches that have shaped Stone Island collecting, with each participant presenting a personally curated selection. Throughout the six-week installation, collector archives will be presented in dialogue with AUTUMN_WINTER ‘026–’027 and a series of products exclusive to Selfridges. The selected archival garments will be available for sale, with their provenance and individual histories highlighted as part of the presentation. Rather than treating the archive as something fixed, THE COLLECTOR SERIES recognises these collectors as researchers, custodians and contributors to an evolving Stone Island culture.
Stone Island CEO & President Robert Triefus remarked: “Stone Island has never existed only through the garments we create. Its culture has also been shaped by the people who discover, wear, preserve and reinterpret them. THE COLLECTOR SERIES brings those voices to the forefront, offering a unique perspective on the brand through the experiences and personal histories of collectors around the world. We are grateful to Selfridges for providing the setting for this dialogue and helping bring this project to life.”
THE CORNER SHOP, Designed by Willo Perron, Stone Island’s Corner Shop takeover is conceived as an active build: an evolving spatial system that brings together collector archives, current collections, and exclusive products. Drawing on the brand’s legacy of material experimentation and engineered performance, soft structures and modular components form a flexible architecture that is reconfigured throughout the installation, mirroring the weekly rotation of collectors and garments. Custom metal fixtures and monochromatic digital screens draw on the language of early computer systems, creating a connection to the archival collections on display. Within this changing environment, each collector presents a distinct perspective on the Stone Island archive, highlighting the histories, material innovations and cultural significance embedded in the garments over time.
Vintage highlights include the SS ‘993 REFLECTIVE JACKET, the AW ‘983-‘984 JOCK-23, the SS ‘007 DAVID-TC SUBLIMATION PRINT, the AW ‘001-‘002 MONOFILAMENT CAMO, and the AW ‘989-‘990 ICE JACKET THERMOSENSITIVE FABRIC. Together, these pieces trace the evolution of Stone Island’s material science and mark key breakthroughs in garment-making technologies.
Alongside the collector archives, a broad selection from the current Stone Island collection will include three pieces available exclusively at Selfridges: the HAND-TREATED LEATHER ORGANZA BURNTORANGE parka in Week 1, the REFLECTIVE TREATMENT DENIM RESEARCH jumpsuit in Week 2, and PANNO SPECIALE stand collar jacket in Week 4.
“We are excited to bring Stone Island’s unique archive collection to The Corner Shop, the perfect destination to bring together rare collector pieces with the latest collection, including a selection of designs exclusive to Selfridges. For us, it is also about bringing our customers even closer to the world of Stone Island and strengthening the sense of community around the brand. It celebrates what makes Stone Island so culturally significant, while looking firmly to what comes next.” says Bosse Myhr, Director of Buying at Selfridges.
The takeover will coincide with the worldwide launch of STONE ISLAND NO SEASONS, which takes forward an original project by Massimo Osti, first introduced in 1989 and produced until 1994. NO SEASONS centres on a single outerwear silhouette realised in six iconic fabrications, each garment-dyed in piombo grey.
London-based vintage archivist Louis Holsgrove commented: “One of the reasons I love Stone Island so much is purely just because of the fabric focus, and it’s the idea that the fabric is key and the jacket comes second, which I think is really interesting. Stone Island doesn’t try to be a brand for everyone, but at the same time, there is always a piece for everyone; it’s been going for so long now.”
