Milano Fashion Week®: satisfaction over the attendance of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni At The Opening Ceremony and exclusive dinner.

Milan, September 24, 2026 – The opening ceremony of Milano Fashion Week®, held yesterday evening at Palazzo Reale with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, and in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, took place in the presence of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The Italian fashion industry accounts for approximately 5% of GDP and, across the entire value chain, provides employment to around one million people, while also being one of the enduring symbols of Made in Italy around the world. The event was held on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition “Dalí e la Moda”, promoted by the Municipality of Milan – Culture and produced by Palazzo Reale, MondoMostre and Civita Mostre e Musei, in collaboration with the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí.

The evening opened with a welcome address by Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala and brought together representatives of public institutions and leading figures from the Italian and international fashion industry.
