In a sophisticated dialogue between early twentieth-century painting and the ritual aesthetics of the Far East, the new AQUILANO.RIMONDI SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection draws inspiration from an intimate exploration of the female figure in art.The visual narrative of the fashion show derives its primary lifeblood from the atmospheres of the Vienna Secession. The inspiration does not look solely to masters like Gustav Klimt, but rediscovers the style and palette of those minor artists capable of translating female anxiety and eroticism into decorative motifs, hypnotic prints, and bold blocks of color.

Interwoven with this pictorial universe is the evocative and poetic suggestion of the famous film Memoirs of a Geisha. The concept of femininity is thus deconstructed and recomposed through the two cornerstone items of the wardrobe: the skirt and the shirt. Through a play of layering and overlapping — the stylistic signature of the duo Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi — the silhouettes take shape, recalling the structures and volumes of the iconic kimono, without ever falling into literal citation. The lightness of the shirts is layered over the texture of the skirts, creating a rising rhythm that highlights the body throughtextile architecture and exclusive prints.
