ACT N 1 SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection starts with something familiar: the everyday wardrobe. Luca Lin takes its established codes apart, then reassembles them with a different sense of proportion, construction, and movement. Shirts, tailoring and dresses are deconstructed and reconstructed into silhouettes that feel both precise and instinctive, shaped around the body rather than imposed upon it. The result is a wardrobe defined by lightness and harmony. This quality is reflected in the collection’s outdoor setting, where garments meet plants and natural surroundings in a direct dialogue between shape, body, and environment.

The palette is central to this sense of ease. Developed through an intuitive yet meticulous research process, the palette moves across multiple tones, revealed gradually through layers, openings, and movement. Color is never simply applied to the garment; it emerges from within, adding depth to silhouettes deliberately stripped of rigidity.

Tailoring undergoes a similar transformation. Traditional structures are enlarged, loosened, and reimagined through Luca Lin’s personal lens. Precise codes give way to fluid lines, while twisted constructions and unexpected layering alter the familiar architecture of classic pieces.

Materiality also reflects an instinct for transformation. About 80% of the fabrics come from deadstock resellers, complemented by mother-of-pearl buttons salvaged from overstock production. Their irregularities become part of the design: each piece is unique, adding new value to discarded materials while maintaining a connection to their past.

The traditional Chinese garment, qipao, is reinterpreted through a contemporary vocabulary, forging a new relationship between heritage, craftsmanship, and the body. Bamboo becomes a defining element. Lightweight, resilient, and deeply rooted in Asian craftsmanship, it is transformed through embroidery and handwork, applied directly to a special qipao, crafted like a study in abstract shapes. Across the collection, ACT N°1 moves between structure and softness, familiarity and transformation. The clothes are not designed to dictate a silhouette, but to discover one, through the dialogue between garment, movement, and the person wearing it.

To strengthen the collection’s dynamic, stylish theme, ACT N°1 collaborated with Saucony, using the ProGrid Ride 1 model, crafted for enduring comfort and performance. For selected looks, Scarosso provided timeless silhouettes, crafted with contemporary ease, to move seamlessly on the catwalk. Models’ looks were completed by Akoni eyewear to celebrate craftsmanship and innovation, as a statement of both style and presence.
