At Paris Fashion Week, Anthony Vaccarello presented Saint Laurent Women SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 on September 29 at Trocadéro, with the Eiffel Tower illuminated in gold behind the show. The setting immediately reflected one of the collection’s defining ideas: gold, a color closely associated with Yves Saint Laurent and used here as a central element rather than simply an accent.

Across Saint Laurent Women SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection, glamour was balanced with the sharper construction that has become part of Saint Laurent’s visual language under Vaccarello. Golden organza gowns appeared alongside velvet jackets and brocade skirts, while sharp-shouldered tailoring and trench coats brought a more structured character to the wardrobe. Sheer fabrics and lace added another layer, creating a contrast between pieces that covered the body and those that allowed it to remain visible. The silhouettes moved between defined waists, strong shoulders and long skirts, with evening dresses gaining volume through layers of organza. Gold appeared in different variations, from brighter yellow-gold tones to more muted antique shades, giving the collection a sense of continuity even as the materials and silhouettes changed.

There was also a clear reference to 1980s glamour in the use of velvet, oversized shoulders, gold buttons and more pronounced volume. Rather than relying on a single silhouette, Vaccarello moved between tailoring and eveningwear, allowing the collection to shift from structured pieces to more revealing and fluid looks.

Towards the finale, the gold palette gave way to black evening gowns, creating a darker closing sequence before Charlotte Gainsbourg appeared for the musical performance. Together, the collection brought Saint Laurent’s tailoring, sensuality and eveningwear into a distinctly gold-focused Spring/Summer 2027 wardrobe.
