PARIS, 1 October 2026 — Concept Korea presented its Spring/Summer 2027 edition at Palais de Tokyo, bringing together fashion and cinema in a programme featuring a joint runway show by BONBOM and ASPARAGUS who present SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection. Hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and organised by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), the event welcomed members of the local fashion industry, press and audiences to experience a new approach to presenting Korean fashion.
Concept Korea has explored collaborations with dance, music and other art forms across its previous editions, extending the possibilities of the runway. Building on its fashion film project at New York Fashion Week in 2022, this season returned to cinema, connecting the screen and the runway through a shared narrative. The presentation extended each brand’s creative world beyond its collection, bringing cinematic storytelling into dialogue with fashion.
How to Walk Premieres at Madame Cinéma, The programme opened ahead of the runway show with the premiere of How to Walk at Madame Cinéma, the cinema within Palais de Tokyo. Directed by Ock-seop Yi and starring actress Minha Kim and model Taejun Hong, the fashion film interpreted the seasonal concepts of BONBOM and ASPARAGUS through the director’s distinctive visual style and storytelling. The screening introduced the two brands’ creative worlds to local press, fashion professionals and audiences, offering a cinematic perspective on the collections before they appeared on the runway.
BONBOM and ASPARAGUS Explore Contrasting Forms. Following the screening, BONBOM and ASPARAGUS presented SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collections rooted in their respective identities and seasonal concepts. The creative worlds introduced on screen continued through the models’ movement, music and spatial design, linking film and runway within a single presentation.
BONBOM, led by designer Bonbom Jo, returned to Concept Korea after several previous editions, presenting designs that bring opposing elements together within a single silhouette. BONBOM SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection centred on the brand’s signature pleated straps, approaching the desire and tension inherent in fetishism with a playful sensibility. Silhouettes that appeared voluminous from the front and slim from the side, alongside open-knit pieces that enveloped the body while revealing glimpses of it, gave these contrasts a physical form.

Making its Concept Korea debut, ASPARAGUS, led by designer Myongje Lee, Asparagus SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 explored the tension and unsettled beauty that emerge when contrasting elements meet, including masculinity and femininity, protection and exposure. Deconstructed silhouettes, asymmetrical structures and experimental details expressed these tensions, while the designs moved between streetwear and high-end fashion.

MONSTA X Ambassadors SHOWNU and HYUNGWON Attend it. Concept Korea’s official ambassadors, SHOWNU and HYUNGWON of MONSTA X, attended wearing pieces from BONBOM and ASPARAGUS. Their presence drew attention from local media, fashion professionals and fans, reflecting the programme’s connection between Korean fashion and the wider cultural landscape.

KOCCA will continue to support Korean designer brands as they build their competitiveness and pursue sustainable growth internationally, through participation in overseas fashion weeks and other global platforms, alongside support for their business activities. It also plans to expand the creative potential of Korean fashion and its connections with global audiences through collaborations with film, music and other cultural content.
