Studio Valentin Loellmann and UNDERCOVER Announce Their First Collaboration.
Located in Maastricht, the Netherlands, a city situated between Belgium and Germany, Studio Valentin Loellmann was built around the workshop where German artist and designer Valentin Loellmann creates his furniture and interiors. Every project and piece produced by him is one of a kind and entirely crafted in his workshop, where he works together with a team of assistants who come to join the Studio to help realize his vision.
UNDERCOVER designer Jun Takahashi first deepened his relationship with the studio during a visit to their workshop in March 2025. Several bespoke pieces of furniture by Studio Valentin Loellmann are also featured in UNDERCOVERʼs newly relocated Repulse Bay store in Hong Kong, which opened in March 2026.
This collaboration introduces a workwear uniform designed for the artisans working in the studio. Through a series of meetings with studio founder Valentin Loellmann, UNDERCOVER explored the specific working environment and practical needs of the artisans, discussing fabric textures, functionality, and design. The resulting pieces combine the practical requirements of everyday workshop wear with UNDERCOVERʼs distinctive design approach.
For the campaign visuals, the shooting team visited the studio in Maastricht, where Valentin himself and the other models are all members of the workshop team. Reflecting the uniformsʼ intended purpose, each staff member was photographed wearing the pieces while working at their respective stations, capturing the garments in their authentic working environment. The visual direction was led by stylist Tsuyoshi Nimura, with photography by Valentinʼs brother, Jonas Loellmann.

About Studio Valentin Loellmann, Since 2010, German artist and designer Valentin Loellmann has been producing furniture and spatial works with Studio Valentin Loellmann in Maastricht, the Netherlands. What began in a smaller atelier gradually developed into an independent practice where he and his team create sculptural, hand-shaped pieces, interiors, and spatial works for clients, collectors, and galleries around the world. In 2020, Valentin acquired a former gas factory built in 1912, which he has been transforming ever since. While this factory hosts his workshop and is the place where all pieces are crafted by him and his team, Valentin considers the building itself as his largest work, one that is guided by intuition and trust, and reflects his vision about energy and space.
While Studio Valentin Loellmann continues to create and build pieces for collectors and galleries worldwide, it also makes the ongoing transformation of the factory possible. In this sense, the Studio and the building are inseparable: the work sustains the factory, and the factory gives shape, energy, and direction to the work. What is produced here is not only furniture, but part of a larger continuous process of building, experimenting, and creating a place that can eventually be shared with others.
