Art students have always provided inspiration for designer Yoon Ahn, reflecting the AMBUSH® collision of vintage, sports- wear, and cutting-edge. Their look is all frayed edges and unexpected 1 contrasts-refund family heirlooms alongside de off-kilter sportswear. For Ambush Spring Summer 2025, Yoon imagines an art class full of assorted misfits, juxtaposing their newfound maturity with a teenage naivety they are loath to leave behind. AMBUSH® blends tailoring and refined new fabrics made in Japan with a riot of ribbons, colour, and cuteness as the brand navigates growing up and creating its own, unique craft collage.

Details of Ambush Spring Summer 2025, A series of classic checks subverted cropped tailoring for women, reflecting the sudden AMBUSH® growth spurt. A tailored jacket in black and grey plaid ends just above the hips. which when worn with & matching mini kilt and d white shirt, shirt is emblematic of Yoon’s exploration of uniforms and how to disrupt them. A maroon and black bouclé tweed mini skirt suit has smashed vintage buttons, as if pulled from the back of an endless wardrobe, while a waistcoat in overdyed dusty pink wools worn with matching drawstring trousers featuring a faux-boxer waistband. Kilts and sport shorts worn with baby variety tees. The grey suit reappears, worm with matching capri pants with a frilled knee, completed by an oversize leather jacket. More romantic and whimsical elements unfold: a white strappy top fastens with ribbons, which also adorn the neck of a a pale blue blouse fasten a black shirt. Capri panta in black lace and in ribbons at the worn with a work jacket and mini pouffe skirt, we get the impression of the AMBUSH girl clocking off from an after-college shift.

As Ambush SS25 collection progresses, increasingly unhinged elements pervade. Red and white gingham tees and trousers are worn with a tweed jacket or knitted mohawk balaclava that explodes into 3-D flowers. A ruched and beribboned white skirt is pared with a prim, boxy jacket or workwear coat. A maroon bomber jacket offsets a s an elegant grey plaid dress with white ruched bust, and blue gingham sailor suits are sweetly pretty. 3-D pink fabric flowers become a crop top and mini skirt, worn with the balaclava or faux fur shrug. A cream coloured knit cardigan and shorts look like it’s disintegrated in the closet, with exaggerated pocket stitching. Knitwear takes its cue from varsity stripes in white, yellow, and navy. A maid’s dress in translucent blue silk is paired with a bejeweled black belt. The AMBUSHB motif is cut chest of a pink baby tee, worn with a red kilt with frilly boxer waist, for maximum cuteness.

AMBUSH menswear is a collage of high and low. A wor canvas pair of shorts is matched with a sharp rugby shirt, replete with graphics that call to mind a photocopied zine or the flyer for your first gig, hand cut and sewn. The grey plaid suit reappears, this time with a knee length kilt and accessorized with a bejeweled cowboy belt and balaclava. Meanwhile, the boucle tweed is in jet black, paired with a matching kilt. Blue shirts feature a knitted argyle front panel in maroon and forest green, and draw-string trousers black plaid also have  the  boxer waistline peeking out. Denim follows the workwear theme or plaid also for men&women, with a double knee and riveted waistband on jean trousers and shorts Jacket. Worn out canvas pants in shorts khaki as backdrop to gingham, plaid shirts, with a boxy denim sports disintegrating knitwear. Mohawk varsity knit balaclavas in cream, maroon, and navy bring an element of punk chaos to the AMBUSH® wardrobe.

Accessories of Ambush Spring Summer 2025 / SS25, A blue button-up oxford shirt that doubles as a functional crossbody bag reflects the crafty undercurrent of the collection. while penny loafers and lace-ups for and worn with white socks, channel the school uniform codes the brand is known for. Jewelry is where more anarchic and natural elements intrude. Pearls proliferate throughout clustered into flower necklaces; as heart shaped hairclips, earrings, rings and necklaces; sharpened into a point for bracelets, and on many-stringed chokers replete with pearl charms and the AMBUSH “A” Amongst the silk, tulle, and satin, pearls peek out from wrists and necklines for all genders, suggesting heirlooms given new life, Pearls are even mixed with the padlocks of previous seasons, a mashup of hard and soft. Belts continue this hard/soft split, either adorned with a cursive AMBUSH logo or adorned with bunches of pearls on the buckle or hanging as as a pearl belt chain. AMBUSH enters a nostalgic golden hour with a collection that’s never been cuter or more collectible.
