Campillo SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 at New York Fashion Week. The previous collection focused on stripping away non-essential elements to celebrate subtlety and fine details. This season continues that journey but in a more explosive manner. The aesthetic elements I retained last season acted like seeds that have now begun to sprout and grow. As I explored this new collection, I felt as though the ideas I planted had burst forth in my imagination.
One of my inspirations for Campillo SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 collection comes from the fascination with Mexican volcanoes. They have profoundly influenced our ecosystems, cities, belief systems, and local mythology, and they even played a role in inspiring the postmodern architectural movement of the early 60s in the Pedregal neighborhood.
This connection serves as a metaphor for Campillo SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 collection, reflecting textures and dualities that range from peacefulness and serenity to violence and destruction. Just like liquid lava becomes a rock there’s always a moment where one is turning into the other; we applied different techniques to create ombré effects of color and texture.
Bigger proportions, a big focus on structured tailoring and a deeper exploration with draping in different materials define the main aspects of Campillo SS25 / Spring Summer 2025 collection. While we may not drastically change from season to season, my goal is to build a strong identity and aesthetic language for Campillo rather than chase fleeting trends. This show will be a vibrant expression of that vision, showcasing the growth and depth of the brand while remaining deeply connected to our cultural narrative.
