Ancuța Sarca Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 at London Fashion Week

Entering a juxtaposition between the colliding worlds of the 2020s’ day-to-day corporate hustle and 1960s’ newfound expressionist lust for life, Ancuța Sarca plays upon her signature metamorphosis of different eras colliding together for her Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

The piercing click of a pen, hustled keyboard thumps sounding in the soft distance, and corporate ring echoing overhead fluorescent lights engulf the designer’s inspiration for Ancuța Sarca  SS25 – finding a familiar comfort in the predictability of the everyday, mundane and beige corporate settings. Sarca’s curiosity and inspiration brought her out into the buzzing streets of London, and directed her attention towards what we all wear daily – dark-hued suits, monochrome tracksuits, black and grey t-shirts, paired within a personal spectrum of footwear – from comfortable Crocs in clinical whites to soft-suede Clarks Wallabees in earthy beige tones.

Going into contrasting inspirations, Ancuța Sarca SS25 also looks out into enmeshing the 2020s corporate minimalism with its very own antonym – the animalistic burst of energy and lust of the 1960s.

Sportswear styles are injected with animal prints across their core – a signature upcycled snakeskin high heel pump meets a masculine shirt collar, or oversized leopard print boots brought forward by sportswear stripes, all signatures of Ancuța Sarca’s work contrasting dualities that unveil the different roles we carry across modern-day life. New menswear styles bring forward sportswear and cycling inspirations by repurposing masculine loafer silhouettes into signature Sarca creations by combining velcro fastenings, all created in this season’s four signature Ancuța Sarca Spring/Summer 2025 offerings – faux snakeskin, chrome, black and white.

Announcing two special and sustainably-driven partnerships for Spring/Summer 2025, Ancuța Sarca has partnered with celebrated footwear brands Crocs and Clarks, to reimagine their signature styles with the energy of juxtaposition that ignites the flame of collaboration.

Partnering with the iconic shoe brand Clarks, Ancuța Sarca SS25 of latest collection brings an unexpected twist to the iconic Clarks Originals Wallabees, by using deadstock shoes in the creations. The show, held at 180 Strand, features 3 pairs of shoes, in 3 different colours. By repurposing deadstock Wallabees, the collaboration not only presents a bold aesthetic but also highlights a shared commitment to sustainability in fashion.

Also exploring and repurposing Crocs footwear, new techniques arise in the art of experimentation in hand-deconstructing each shoe into a hybrid creation between classic styles and Sarca’s signature sustainable design practices. “I’m thrilled to partner with Crocs for my Ancuța Sarca Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Their bold approach to design and comfort perfectly aligns with my vision of merging practicality with unconventional style. By combining Crocs iconic styles with elements from trainers and loafers, I’m reimagining the Crocs into an Ancuța Sarca hybrid world but keeping the original signature silhouettes. We’re also exploring electrostatic flocking techniques to add unique textures and a striking, bold touch to the designs.”

In the spirit of expressive partnerships, reinterpreting classic styles into innovative and experimental creations is at the heart of this season’s collection. “We’re incredibly excited about this creative partnership with Ancuta Sarca. She has reinterpreted our iconic Classic Clog and our edgy Siren Clog with a visionary approach, exploring the boundaries of design and showcasing our shared commitment to innovation and creativity” expresses Yann Le Bozec, Marketing VP for Crocs ROW & Hey Dude International.
