Mithridate Launches SS25 Collection Inspired by Yunnan: A Tribute to Tradition, Culture and Personal Heritage, styled by Harry Lambert. This will be the Creative Director’s first season on the official schedule and it celebrates their hometown roots and Yunnan’s rich tapestry of artistry.
Mithridate is proud to unveil its newest collection, a stunning tribute to Yunnan, the south western province of China, known for its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant ethnic diversity and rich cultural traditions. This highly personal debut from the Creative Director draws deeply from their Yunnan roots, blending local traditions with a modern aesthetic to create an unforgettable SS25 collection. Yunnan, known as the “Flower Kingdom” and the second-largest flower trading city globally, serves as a central inspiration for this collection. Throughout the pieces, flowers are a recurring motif, with pom poms symbolising their beauty and delicate nature.
Mithridate Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 collection is a vivid reflection of Yunnan’s community, landscape and vibrant colour palette. Ancient techniques, such as Yunnan’s traditional tie-dying method, have been reimagined with contemporary fabrics and tailored silhouettes. Ice dyeing, representing the seasonal transition from winter to spring, adds another layer of depth, nodding to the region’s natural cycles.
Key materials in Mithridate Spring/Summer 2025 / SS25 collection include lace, denim, silk, and a locally-sourced cotton that feels similar to soft linen – highlighting the natural elegance of the Yunnan landscape. In keeping with local traditions, the collection also showcases the regions’ distinctive silverware and accessories, with all hardware crafted in Mithridate’s studio.
This debut collection embodies the perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, paying homage to the history and cultural richness of Yunnan while embracing modern techniques and designs.
