ERL Spring/Summer 2026 at California Fashion

ERL Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 at California Fashion, Designed by Eli Russell Linnets in Venice beach, California, ERL is proud to celebrate its twelfth collection entitled “poison ivy” — a story about fantasy and obsession. ERL continues its exploration of the modern American man and the complexities that lie deep beneath the surface as well as the social hierarchy of tailoring and taste.

“poison ivy” is an ode to the obsessions that propel us in our every day lives and begs the question, “what are we willing to sacrifice in order to obtain power and perfection?”. The story follows a young man named ivy who transfers to an elite boarding school after a mysterious expulsion. He quickly becomes obsessed with christian — the golden, ruthless king of campus politics and privilege. What begins as admiration curdles into envy as ivy ingratiates himself into christian’s inner circle, desperate to possess even a fragment of his aura. But as his obsession deepens and rejection looms, ivy’s carefully maintained façade fractures — leading to a final irreversible act of violence.

ERL SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection introduces a series of entirely new silhouettes, artfully blending tailoring with unconventional materials, challenging the rules of menswear. Unlined, relaxed suit jackets are paired effortlessly with nylon swim shorts, while wide-leg trousers meet sporty yet elevated knitwear — each combination expressing a vision of a man, both unpretentious yet refined. The collection balances a laid-back elegance with a subtle nod to meticulousness — through his use of relaxed yet precise tailoring, new forms emerge.

This season is defined by a dusty neutral color palette, featuring various depths of sand, taupe, khaki, and brown, with colorful california sun bleached hues in purple and jade. Melange fabrics, donegal argyles, and muted stripes add dynamic novelty to this sophisticated collection. ERL denim captures a certain richness reminiscent of another era. Sun bleached washes are paired with muted hues alongside heather pique polos and crew sweatshirts with the signature ERL script logo. Lightweight linen shirts and boxers in tattersall plaids layered with unexpected baroque floral prints bring an edge of sensitivity to the collection.

Cut off stone washed khakis and super short swim trunks make for a pant-less summer. Lightweight donegal summer linen suits in novel shapes and proportions, alongside classic ERL relaxed surf nylon tailoring, evoke the sun drenched optimism linnetz is known for. Distinct suiting evolves into a new realm of sophistication while maintaining his surfer edge. The result is an obsessively detailed feast of ERL’S undeniably unique universe that cements Eli Russell Linnetz’s distinct perspective on fashion, storytelling, and the American psyche.

ERL SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection builds upon reinterpretations of American staples for the future, while speaking to inspirations from the past — imbuing a completely new take on prep and purpose.
