OpéraSPORT Spring/Summer 2026 / SS26 at Copenhagen Fashion Week
The Spring/Summer 2026 collection from OpéraSPORT is a celebration of cultural harmony and soft modernity, inspired by a recent journey to Seoul. Founders Stephanie Gundelach and Awa Malina Stelter drew from the city’s rich contrasts, its serene traditions and bold urbanity, to craft a collection that feels both rooted and forward-facing. The collection’s color palette is a gentle nod to Seoul’s pastel cityscapes, featuring tones of sage, butter yellow, soft blur and pink, crisp white, and a signature pastel green. A custom hibiscus flower print, honoring Korea’s national bloom, adds a poetic and contemporary twist to the collection’s visual language. These airy hues bring a lightness and freshness that define the season.
Highlights from OpéraSPORT SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection include sculptural dresses, sheer 3D lace flower styles, tailored sets with architectural lines, and a standout vegan leather jacket embroidered with hibiscus flowers. Hero pieces also include a statement trenchcoat adorned with 3D hibiscus flowers, floral embroidery, and an all-over hibiscus print, tying together the season’s key motifs with bold softness. Traditional Korean hanbok silhouettes are reinterpreted through OpéraSPORT’s minimalist lens, offering a refined take on cultural nostalgia. New seamless styles are crafted with delicate lace textures, balancing comfort with elegance. At the heart of SS26 is a deep appreciation for balance, between softness and strength, tradition and innovation.
The choice of Frederiksberg Badene as the show venue reflects the inspiration. The swimming facility mirrors the serene energy of the collection and echoes the daily view from the founders’ hotel pool in Seoul, a recurring reference point throughout the design process. As always, the collection is crafted from recycled or organic fabrics. Timelessness and versatility remain central, with each piece designed to move effortlessly through seasons and settings, echoing the brand’s enduring values.
OperaSPORT and havaianas are doing a special collaboration on its SS26 / Spring/Summer 2026 collection, reinforcing the Brazilian flip-flop brand’s natural presence on the global fashion scene. Havaianas adds a signature twist on the runway looks with iconic shapes, but also unveils its latest innovation: the first-ever 3D-printed flip-flop, developed in partnership with footwear technology company Zellerfeld. This limited-edition fuse bold innovation with legacy, echoing the contrasts of OperaSPORT’s SS26 collection, and turning this everyday essential into a wearable statement.
This season’s model lineup reflects the brand’s dedication to inclusivity and individuality, featuring a diverse cast of street-cast talents, emerging names, and established faces. Hair looks are created by Hanna Ramirez using Iles Formula, while the show’s beauty direction by Miild focuses on dewy skin and soft floral tones to complement the gentle color story.
