Harris Reed Spring/Summer 2027 / SS27 at London Fashion Week

Harris Reed SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection at London Fashion Week feels like a moment of reset. Coming after Reed’s period of balancing his own label with his work at Nina Ricci, the collection looks back at the 11 seasons of the Harris Reed label while also suggesting a quieter starting point for what comes next.

Reed describes the collection as a kind of “phantom collection,” and the idea is immediately visible in the presentation. Almost everything is white, creating a ghostly atmosphere that gives the clothes a sense of continuity with the label’s past while keeping the focus on the shapes and construction. There is also a noticeable change in how the clothes meet the ground. For the first time in several years, models were not wearing the 18-centimetre platforms that have become closely associated with Reed’s shows.

That change may sound small, but it shifts the way the collection is read. Harris Reed has built much of its identity around dramatic volume, exaggerated proportions, extreme platforms and theatrical styling. Here, the silhouettes still carry elements of that language, but the overall presentation feels more grounded. The predominantly white palette reinforces that sense, while a few pieces break through it as clear focal points, including a creamy-gold jacket made from hand-painted duchess satin, a sequined corset and a bridal gown with its crinoline deliberately exposed.

Rather than presenting Harris Reed SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection as a conventional runway show, Reed chose a salon-style presentation, allowing the clothes to be seen in a more intimate setting. It suits a collection that is partly about looking back. SS27 does not completely abandon the theatrical identity Harris Reed has established, but it approaches it from a different position — one that feels less dependent on spectacle and more interested in revisiting the label itself. As the first collection following Reed’s chapter at Nina Ricci, it marks a new point in the story of Harris Reed.
