Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2027 at Paris Fashion Week

Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2027 / SS27 at Paris Fashion Week, Couture Meets Everyday Dressing.

For SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027, Balenciaga under Pierpaolo Piccioli looks at the space between couture and everyday clothing. Presented during Paris Fashion Week on October 1, 2026, the collection continues Piccioli’s exploration of how the heritage of Cristóbal Balenciaga can exist within a more contemporary wardrobe. Rather than treating couture and ready-to-wear as two separate worlds, Piccioli brings elements of couture into familiar pieces. Jeans, white T-shirts, shirts, bomber jackets and tailoring are given more considered construction and details. Even denim is cut on the bias, giving an everyday material a different sense of shape and movement.

Balenciaga SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection also feels lighter and softer in its overall appearance. Oversized bombers and wide-leg white trousers sit alongside distressed denim, colourful tailoring and long dresses finished with lace, fringe, feathers and paillettes. The colour palette moves from white and off-white into stronger shades of teal, orange and pink, adding another layer of contrast to the collection.

Piccioli describes the approach as “Unsized – A Lightness of Being,” focusing on clothes that follow the body without being overly defined by conventional sizing and construction. Lightweight materials are shaped into balloon, draped and cocoon-like silhouettes, creating volume without making the clothes feel overly rigid.

There is still a connection to the streetwear language that became an important part of Balenciaga during Demna’s tenure, but here it meets Piccioli’s softer approach to couture. Jeans appear with evening gowns, a T-shirt can become a long dress, and tailoring is relaxed rather than strictly formal. The result is a collection that places craftsmanship closer to everyday dressing, while continuing to explore what Balenciaga can look like in a new creative chapter.
