Balmain Spring/Summer 2027 / SS27 at Paris Fashion Week

For Balmain SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027, Antonin Tron continues to shape his vision for Balmain by looking back at the house’s history while bringing it into a more sensual and experimental direction. Presented in Paris on September 30, the collection marks his second season at Balmain and draws from both Pierre Balmain’s work and Tron’s interest in the landscapes and culture of the American West.

The influence of Pierre Balmain can be seen through animal prints, dramatic draping, embroidery and beads. These references are placed alongside elements of psychedelic culture, desert landscapes and natural forms, giving Balmain SS27 / Spring/Summer 2027 collection a mix of glamour and a more earthy visual character. Much of the wardrobe focuses on the body. Draped dresses, corset tops, lingerie-inspired pieces and low-rise trousers are combined with satin bombers and softer tailoring. Skirts with suspender-like details add another playful element, while animal prints appear across jacquard and more decorative fabrics. Printing, embroidery, sequins and crystals are also used to give different surfaces their own texture.

The colour palette follows the atmosphere of the West Coast, moving from ivory and black to mineral grey, copper, gold, orange and pale yellow. Even the accessories continue the connection with nature, with sculptural heels inspired by stones such as agate and jasper.

Rather than relying on a single reference, Balmain SS27 brings several worlds together: the house’s couture heritage, the sensuality of the silhouette, psychedelic influences and the colours and forms of the natural landscape. It gives Tron room to explore Balmain’s familiar glamour while introducing a more personal direction to the collection.
