Dadov Launches During Paris Fashion Week With Its Debut Collection

Paris, October 1st, 2026 — DADOV, the Paris-based house founded by designer Islam Dadov, made its debut on September 30, introducing its first collection of handbags and establishing a design language centered on architectural restraint, material precision and the singular power of the object. Founded with a long-term vision, DADOV was conceived around an uncompromising approach to product. Rather than following seasonal cycles or external rhythms, the house was built on continuity, with each release evolving from a stable and considered foundation. Distribution was conceived selectively, while visibility was held to the same standard as the object itself.

At the center of DADOV is the handbag. For Islam Dadov, it is approached not simply as an accessory, but as a defining object capable of shaping presence and identity. His perspective was formed in the Northern Caucasus, in an environment where objects were largely defined by necessity and function. Against this backdrop, rare encounters with color, proportion, structure and detail developed into an enduring sensitivity to form.

Dadov later developed his understanding of product through two distinct sides of the fashion industry. His early career within Inditex provided a grounding in product architecture, supply dynamics and execution at scale. He subsequently moved into high luxury, joining Gucci and later Dior in Paris, where he worked with product selection and development across major markets and developed his knowledge of leathercraft, materials and the standards of luxury product. The synthesis of these experiences shaped a philosophy in which value is created through reduction and control rather than accumulation.

The house’s name carries a personal history. DADOV is the family name Islam adopted at fourteen as a tribute to his stepfather’s memory. The five members of the family are represented through the house’s signature Fivefold D symbol, which extends into recurring motifs across chains and hardware as a symbol of continuity and shared strength.

THE DEBUT COLLECTION – The debut introduced three handbag families, Neige, Bella and Aster, each translating a personal memory into a distinct expression of the DADOV vocabulary. Across the collection, architectural lines meet tactile surfaces, while recurring hardware establishes a visual signature for the house. Neige drew on memories of severe North Caucasus winters and the contrast between freezing cold and the soft transformation of snow. Its plush volume was anchored by the house’s signature moving D chain. Conceived as an effortless daily piece, the design translated the fluid, unbroken strength of family bonds into a sharp, sculptural silhouette. Bella, dedicated to the family’s firstborn and taking its name from the Italian word for beauty, marked an origin point for the house. The design brought together structure and movement, juxtaposing tactile suede with liquid-like crystal fringe that responded to every step. Aster originated in a childhood memory of the aster flower. Sharp architectural geometry was set against velvety suede, with the design completed by a custom D-closure that quietly referenced the bond between the five members of the family.

To accompany the launch, DADOV unveiled its debut campaign. The campaign extended the collection into a visual world of restraint and intimacy. Set within refined interiors and architectural surroundings, the imagery placed the handbags at the center of each composition, exploring the relationship between object, silhouette and presence. Through restrained styling and a focus on material, proportion and gesture, the campaign established the first visual expression of the DADOV universe. With its September 30 debut, DADOV introduced both its first handbag collection and the foundations of a house intended to develop deliberately over time, one in which structure and material are treated as essential decisions rather than decorative ones, and where each object carries the identity of the house.

Islam Dadov is a Paris-based designer and co-founder of DADOV. Formed in the Northern Caucasus and later working across both global fashion and high luxury, his career has spanned Inditex, Gucci and Dior. DADOV brings these experiences together through a product philosophy focused on construction, discipline, reduction and the integrity of the object.
